Mid Fla RTE, Celbrating The End Of Summer, 9/22/12
« on: August 20, 2012, 08:57:21 pm »
It's time to celebrate the end of summer and the start of our nine month good riding season.   :motonoises: :motonoises:

Calendar link:

http://www.cog-online.org/clubportal/EventDetail.cfm?clubID=1328&EventID=172236&mo=9&tDate={d%20%272012-09-20%27}#

Sparky's Place
24646 SR 40
Astor, FL. 32102
(352) 759-2854

Meet up time about 9:30 in the parking lot, will try to be seated at about 10.

An RSVP to me is strongly encouraged, thank you. It helps the restaurant provide us with a better experience.

This RTE is open to ALL, you do not have to be a member of anything to attend and have a good time. We will let you join COG, though. ;) :great: :great:

As per usual, any folks wanting to meet up at my house in Tavares for a pleasant, reasonably legal ;) ride up together, are welcome. I'll have the coffee on at about 8, with intended departure time of about 8:45. PLEASE RSVP. Folks needing my address, please ping me, or give me a call at 352 3four3 9ll7.

As mentioned, this will be the last breakfast RTE of the year, well, except for Bike Trailerfest, so come on out.

I do not know whether or not they take plastic, so plan accordingly.

Ride to eat, eat to ride.

Thanx.

Notice, I will be out of town from 9-2 through 9-15, inclusive. I may or may not have internet access, and will not be available at that phone number. I'll be out in California riding my KLR around. :great: :motonoises: :great: :motonoises: :great: :motonoises:  and maybe doing some of this  :beerchug: :beerchug:  ;)  :nananana:

Later.

Did I forget something?

Another demonstration of a SECOG Leadership Team member doing what needs to be done for the southeast. Nice post Steve. Unfortunately, I'm headed to the Spider Ride in MO right after the SECOG Fall Rally, and won't be able to make it. Please speak well of me in my absence. Your the best Steve.

Oh the difference a thousand miles of latitude makes.

Up here, we don't celebrate the passing of summer, we mourn it.   :'(

You know that we will definitely speak of you. I'll have one of these upon my return from the RTE, in your honor.

Then follow with one or three of these:

Steve, you and I need to hit that brewery sometime. Never thought I'd be able to get my beloved Kronenbourg 1664 again after moving south. We'll get a group together, rent a 15 passenger van, find a driver, and......well, you know.
Your displayed choices are also good one's.          Al

Yeahbutt, snowmobiles are great fun. The sledding pretty much sucks around here, but that's OK. ;)

You can make this a welcome back party for Jo Poole, who is returning back to Florida from the NW area. She just missed all of us Florida riders so much, living 3,000 miles away wasn't an option any more. She should be back in the state in about a week. Will continue as a COG national officer with the secretary position.            Al

Aside from missing the Steve-s and other hooligans, I'm thinkin she got sick of all of those icky twisty and hilly roads. And the scenery gets really boring out there too.

:great: :great:Welcome Back, Jo. :great: :great:

:-\  I didn't notice this was a breakfast ride, I was thinking lunch.  I might have to rethink this one.  Take my headcount off the list for a few days for me to get a better idea.

Yup. It was the plan last year, but weather was not at all cooperative. No more early summer junkets out there, hate to leave during our storm season, though.

And I still hafta get the NW Territories and Newfoundland and Labrador.

From someone who will be up in Misery at the Spider Ride, and not here for the RTE.

You can never have too many Steves. Now to talk Canadian Steve into coming down early. I think there are a couple of Steves on the east coast??  Snake? Where are you?

Edit to add:  Oops. Forgot. Welcome #9334  :13:
