We came by and yep no one there. Everyone out riding. So Mike and I rode the dragon and ate lunch at the HUB.
We did see a few Connies on the way . Sorry we missed you guys.

Sorry we missed you guys.  I got back about 2:30.  we went east up the Blue Ridge Parkway today.

We ended up have 11 people attend, which is great for a first time event.  Although Friday had some rain, many of us still got some riding in.  Today was absolutely perfect.  talk about beating the heat!  nice and cool on the parkway and the roads weren't more than damp in spots.  mostly dry and great riding.  This evening is already down in the 60s.  should be a perfect night for sleeping before heading home tomorrow.  I wish you guys could see the stars from here.  being away from the city, you can see thousands of them.

Mark July on your calendar for next year.  we'll be doing this one again for sure!

The N.Ga Posse had big plans, but a nail in my tire right at my driveway sucked. Mike Anthony diverted from the Dahlonega meet up point and had breakfast at  my house. I plugged  the tire while he  was  enroute. We ambled up through Helen, over the Richard Russell Hwy, and after lunching in Murphy, NC, slid into camp about 3:30.

NICE idea Dave!! The baker's dozen who ventured out were rewarded with 53 degree nights, lots of stars as Dave noted, and an entertaining slow race hosted by Iron Horse. As he said, PUT THIS ONE ON YOUR CALENDAR FOR NEXT YEAR!  I had to cut  out first  thing Sunday for a run to the Atlanta airport for a guest, but it was a really nice  ride home getting me here around 11.

Nate, great to put a name and face together. Glad you could come up.

Thank you Dave. I  didn't know  what to expect, but this event ought to be 3X bigger next year!! Great spot, nice resort.

I got back to Winfield at 3:30pm. I ran the Cherohala on the way out of Robinsville.
It was a fun run, North Carolina has paved their end of the Cherohala, very smooth.
Very little traffic this morning. Total mileage for the trip about 1100 miles. It was a great
Rally even if it did rain most of the day Friday. Thanks to Dave and the crew for hosting
the rally. See everyone at the RWTW.

Looking forward to next year already. Wish I'd been there but a kid's cellphone and wife's need for a vehicle took priority.
