Riding Into History - K9s for Warriors
« on: May 15, 2017, 09:36:31 am »
Anyone else planning to go to the "Riding Into History" Saturday in St augustine?
It seems like a lot of riders in the region aren't even aware this is going on, so I thought I'd post it.
This will be my 1st year going, but I've heard it's really cool, with lots of bikes from many brands over the years participating.
On top of all that, it's a really great charity cause.
Here's their website: https://ridingintohistory.org/
and photos from last year: https://ridingintohistory.org/2016-photo-galleries/
What can you say when their home page has a classic KZ1000 on it?
Hope to see some of you there.

Jorge

I think SteveJ was working on setting up a RTE with the events that day, but I haven't seen a notice, yet.

Can you post a few more "enticing" details for those of us who are unfortunate enough to be forced to ride in the mountains that day... ;)

I've had several of my bikes entered over the years and it's a great event.  Each year there's a Grand Marshall, this time famous father and son racers Yvon and Miguel Duhamel will be Marshaling the weekend.  Also, this year they'll be "honoring the Japanese motorcycle" so there should be quite a few Kawasakis.   I'll be going again this year although I'm not showing anything this time, probably joining Steve somewhere during his ride.  By all means, go to the event if you can!

RTE is posted at http://forum.cog-online.org/southeast-events/mid-fla-may-20-eat-ride-into-history-and-eat-again/. Calendar entry is http://cog-online.org/clubportal/EventDetailPublic2.cfm?clubID=1328&EventID=243710&mo=5&tDate=%7Bd%20%272017-05-15%27%7D.

I'd love to go to Riding into History, but I have an engagement here in Tampa at 2 p.m. Saturday. I'm hoping to sweet-talk the missus into letting me ride over early for the breakfast at least.

Great show Jorge, I'll tell you more about it tonight if you would like.

I've had the Indians in several times.

I would join, but I have a OA fellowship this weekend along with a memorial paver laying for my brother. :'(
