Anybody called to get a reservation yet?  I tried today and just got an answering machine.  Sent them an e-mail so we'll see.  Really look forward to this one! :beerchug:
Got an e-mail back from the Wildcat Lodge.  Here is what Donald Oakes sent.

Hello Reid,
We don't have cabins per se but our Lodge on the property is an old
renovated 2-story farm house
built in 1890. It is available on a nightly rental basis. It has a
well equipped kitchen with an electric stove as well as an old
operational wood burning stove. Refrigerator, microwave and coffee
maker are available. A handicap accessible bath room with shower is in
place. As is a fireplace and an operational wood burning heater. It
will easily sleep 8 people. It currently has 2 full size beds and 4
twin beds as well
as a over sized sofa and love seat.
The Lodge rents for $100 per night for 2 people. Each additional person is $25
Also, our Door House has several army cots ready for your sleeping back. It has
electrical outlets but no appliances. It rents for $20 per night per person..

Don't know if the Lodge is reserved yet.  $35.00 a night per person for 6 folks ain't too bad.  If anyone is interested let me know.  Otherwise I'll go for the $20 a night cot in the Door House.

Reid, just got back from Mexico today. Sounds like a plan, if we can get a few more. If not, I may bring my camping equipment.
Let me caught my breath and will register in the next day or two. Thanks BBerry

Those of you who attended RWTW last year remember that many of us took a mid-Saturday break from riding at Union Powersports in Blairsville, GA. These guys threw some 'dogs on the grill and offered us snacks and cold drinks. They had the newest models on display and a great selection of gear and accessories to browse in their showroom while we kicked tires and enjoyed the hospitality.

I seem to recall someone who may or may not have been in great need of tires by the time he arrived and got a great deal on fresh shoes.... ::)

Well, they're doing it again! George and Doc at Union Powersports are prepared to welcome us once more on Saturday, April 21st for a bite to eat and a chance to hang out at the shop for a while. We're all looking forward to another good time at Union Powersports.

Here's the place: http://www.unionpowersports.com/

I bit of history concerning this rally. It was at this rally in 2008 that I recieved my one and only COG award. I had the highest COG number (7775) present at the rally. It sits proudly on my desk here at church as a paper weight.

Oh, you call those Hard Luck Awards?  And here I thought the one at RWTW 2010 was for "Best Use of a Goldwing for Plowing an Open Field"...    :)

Reid,

I would be interested in staying in the Lodge with you and whomever.   Is it still available?

That was the year that I led you on your "virgin" ride to Deals Gap, in the rain no less ;)

Hope we can do it again this year.

Is this year's rally site the campground we stopped to check out during last year's RWTW?

Bob, call the lodge and see if any beds are left.  They aren't renting out the entire lodge.  Just individual beds.  I'm not sure how many are left.  The number is (706) 747-1011.   :)

Where are the 5 beds?  The cabin?  Is there a lodge and a cabin?  Or are you referring to the "Door House" with the cots?  Just curious.  I think I waited too long and now I may have to get a place off-site.  I don't really like having to carry my camping stuff with me and my wife really prefers the comfort of a cabin.  I could just call and get the info directly...just lazy I guess.. :)

High Valley Resort has cabins (some are two person cabins with no facilities some are 6-8 person cabins with baths, kitchens, etc) located about 3-4 miles away from the rally site.
