I probably won't camp, but if y'all let me know when you're slipping over to do the Calf Killer tour I might sneak down for a ride :)

You realize that you'd be staying in a cabin, right?  Think Boy Scout camp.  ;)

We might have to put Roman in his own cabin in the back of the camp!

Mark your calendars! Save the Date!!

The SE COG 2018 Spring rally will be held at Fall Creek Falls State Park in Spencer TN, April 26 - 29, 2018 (Thursday - Sunday).

It will officially be known as: "Concours Carving the Cumberland".  :motonoises:

Hi Kurt, I'm interested. However, is there room for a pickup/trailer? I'd like to bring two bikes, my C14 and my Bandit 1200 Streetfighter project, it's fun as heck to ride and also, I just don't want to chew up my very expensive PR4GT's riding up and back on the C14 from Florida. Please advise. If any extra cost for parking such, no problem. Thanks.

Our Illustrious Rallymeister is in the process of arranging tours of the nearby Calf Killer Brewery.  I've toured a lot of breweries and this is easily the most enjoyable tour I've ever been on. The tour I was on was conducted by the two guys who built the brewery. It was funny, interesting, educational and very tasty. IIRC it was also pretty inexpensive ($5, I think).  BTW, no calves are harmed in the production of this beer. It is named for a nearby creek. ;)

There may be some Calf Killer beer available at the rally too.  :beerchug:
*NOTE*  COG does not provide any funds to purchase "adult" beverages and actively discourages any consumption before bikes are parked for the night.

Update on Concours Carving the Cumberland Spring Rally.

Rally Registration Site:  https://goo.gl/upzV9T

We will be offering a Harry Martin designed T-shirt for sale. Must order by April 2nd. Please see the following for information, pricing and ordering:  https://goo.gl/xC6TQM

There will be a Friday night social after dinner featuring a couple options from a local brewery, Calf Killer. I will personally be purchasing the brew and have a donation bucket set up for reimbursement.

On Saturday we will have reserved a block for the Calf Killer Brewery tour at 2pm. The tour is $5 payable at check-in at rally central but as we are only holding 15 spots, you must sign up prior to ensure your spot on the tour:  https://goo.gl/H4eNxC

There is possibility of having a cheese making workshop on Friday or Saturday at Red Gable Cheese ( https://www.redgablecheese.com ). Workshop lasts approximately 4 hours and Red Gable Cheese is located between Fall Creek Falls SP and Sparta TN. The cost would approximately $75 a person with a minimum of 3 and maximum of 6. Please email me directly should you be interested in this. We have to let them know  by the 1st of April in order to have the class.

We are currently gathering information for ride routes. The Dragon and Cherohala Skyway are reachable from this location as well. We will be posting a zip file of the routes closer to the rally. If you are familiar with the area and can share your favorite roads, please contact me directly.

The original post referenced a hotel and restaurant in the park. I've just been informed that they will be closing both on April 2nd as they will be demolishing it in order to build a new one which will open some time in 2020. This should have little impact on our rally other than there will not be a restaurant in the park and hotel rooms are not an option for those not wanting to sleep in the group site cabins. FCFSP has regular cabins you can rent instead of a hotel room should you wish to not stay in a group site cabin.

For those trailering to the rally, not to worry as there is plenty of room to park your vehicle and trailer.

Also, please remember the rally fee includes a bed in one of the cabins, 3 breakfasts and 3 dinners. There is not an entrance fee to the park.

Looking forward to seeing all my fellow COG'ers at the Concours Carving the Cumberland SE COG Spring Rally!
