I have a two piece joe rocket leather suit that I use for track days.  it would fit well for a person who is 6 ft and 190 pounds.  I'm now over 220 and it's SNUG around the waist, but still managable.  if anyone wants to borrow it, it is located in Mooresville NC.  PM me and we can make arrangements.

note...it's got scuffs from slidling already built in, so you will look like an expert!   :rotflmao:

:great:          Dave,  That is really right of you.   :)     I'm in need of a FULL FACE HELMET  XL for the day.   I have skull cap.      Any help would be appreciated.     ;)
                                                     Alan   Fl    ;)

I'm still trying to iron out the details of this trip, but I may take you up on the leathers, Dave. I have not checked the web site yet, but am curious about helmet inspections. I have a good full face, but it may be older than 5 years. Anyone know off hand how stringent the helmet tech inspection is? Don't want to have to buy a new one, as I plan on buying a flip face for my next helmet.

I saw in the blurb that this is truly for sport-touring riders. but MUST I bring my Connie? Could I bring my Bandit? It's not a true sport bike but it's not classified as a sport-touring bike either. I need to drop way more cash on suspension for my Connie than this whole weekend would cost.

Yes you may. I'm sure you can sense our intentions. Your Bandit will be a fine choice  :great:Fyi: I've seen everything from a BMW LT and a C10 to a DRZ running laps around Jennings. The fastest one would surprise you!

I just sent you an email. Just sign as as Jorge and use his when you get to the track. I'm signing up Wendy and giving it to her as a Christmas gift because I had the same issue

Question, if I'm  just coming up to camp and enjoy the company, do I need to register ahead of time? I plan to come up on Friday way before the gates close. It's not fun putting up a tent in the dark.   :) :beerchug:

No need to register but do keep us posted. Definitely more the merrier since we're making a weekend of it. I'll know closer to the event if I'll also run on Sat and/or Sunday.

Also, just to point out, the sport touring track day is Fri. Come early!

This is why we are making a weekend of it. Good stuff!  :beerchug:

AND, I am still waiting to hear about RoadCrafters and MotoPort. I'm asking Wayne from MotoPort to send his MotoGP classification to them directly. Will report back.

WOOT! Dave pried open the wallet and let me register as my Xmas present!!!!!!!!

So excited Irene and Wendy are doing it too!!!!!!!

 :)

Now, just to be abundantly clear, my GF who rides a Shadow, (great street rider, but never been to the track) can NOT do this with us, correct? She saw me post on FB about it last night and expressed interest, but my impression is this is just for Sport Tourers. OR is it just not for regular sport bikes?  :017:

don't leave out finding a 2 piece that has at least a 3/4 zipper to connect.  they are MUCH easier to get in and out of.  I got an old-stock joe rocket suit on sale for 300 and it's been terrific.

by the way....cheap suits are just that....cheap.  generally you should look at leather thickness.  sliding across a track can be a fun experience as long as the leathers don't wear through.  not so much if they are thin leather.   :o

First of all. WooHoo! We have as many or more females so far and that's COGtastic.

As for your friend? Sign her up for a COG membership. Another $37 and this is still a bargain! (take with a grain of marketing officer salt;) We love new members and she already thinks we're cool 😎

Yeah it's ok. As long as I don't have to ride it! Jk jk - 😂😂

It's a motorcycle - and she wants to learn - I'm all for it. Irene will likely be on her Vulcan. Should be all good. We will have a good laugh when she cruises by Doug while polishing her chrome  :rotflmao:

I've instructed in cars on a few tracks. Females in regular cars often learned more quickly and did better  than guys in hot rods. We could all learn from each other with the right attitude.

I have a few - give me a day or 3 to post pics and sizes and if anyone wants to claim them I'll bring them along.

None are new or amazing but all are Shoei.

First off I'd like to thank everyone who put this together , I've wanted to do something like this , but never would have without this club putting this together.
At 62 I've been talking to my self to slow down for years , 15 years ago my wife asked me if I was ever going to grow up ::),
A old boating  friend from Tenn.   tried to get me to a bike track  for years, he is a instructor up that way, I always told him no way...
Not sure what will become of this but it has the blood flowing again, has been a while getting excited about anything  because I hate owning  this business so much.
Thanks JJ

My blood is pumping pretty hard too. Hope this leads to some vintage bike racing for me. Seems they have all the fun without so many crashes. The SV650 might be the platform of choice for me. Hope this weekend leads me to that. Looked at suits today, and helmets, oh my....$$$$$

I have a Shoei X11 Snell and DOT rated in size Medium for anyone who might want to borrow it.

If you really like it - you can even have it!

Cleaned the outside and took out the three major interior pieces for cleaning. Can text or email pics.

I received the AGV Sport Phantom one piece suit , glad I got a size 46 , in the video  they say a 210 lb. five foot eleven  guy would fit into a 44,
I'm 5'11" 195 lb. and I just make it into a 46.

It's kind of funny looking on a 62 year old.
