doug?......Doug?......DOUUUUUGGGGG!
Hey, I have read this a few times, and I've probably missed it every time, but I'll just ask....
I have a 2 piece teknics leather suit, that zips together, but leaves about 10-12 inches unzipped in the front. That is the way it was made. I've used it at Jennings track days before. Will this be allowed?

That is the only part holding me back.....I'll be there either way, but I rather participate.

Thanks.

As long as it is leather your good , I wish mine was two piece.

Getting out of the one piece is ...slow.

Cuda, being 62 has nothing to do with it... Everyone looks funny in one-piece leathers!

Saturday must be paid on your own directly to www.jenningsgp.com  It's the same track backwards  :-\ The Friday course enables you to do trackdays safely. It gives you the foundation from which to grow. If you get training Friday you'll be more than qualified to do Saturday. And Saturday is like doing a whole new track and you didn't even have to go anywhere to do so. So you'll (kinda) have done two tracks in two days  :beerchug:

The gates will be open just for us approximately 1 p.m. until 9:45 p.m. Do not get there late. Can't emphasize the late thing enough. Something always happens the day before the track day. Blown trailer tire, last minute tire installs, sticking caliper, bad master cylinder and bathroom stops. I've been delayed many times and leaving early is a great idea.

I would actually suggest you get there by 5p.m. so that you can set up and we can do a track walk together before going to dinner. This is a new environment for many of us and getting acclimated takes away the anxiety associated with 'going to a racetrack.'

I sent an email to Jennings re Motoport Kevlar with links to their AMA and WERA classifications. I'll give it a few days before following up if I don't hear back.

Thanks, Fais. Is it correct to assume a two-piece Motoport would need a zipper?

IF they allow our suits YES they will need proper zippers.

I'm prepared to hear 'no' - but Wayne at Motoport said all the big tracks have had racers in his Kevlar. Many racers still in leathers use his gloves. Can't argue with the strength. Seems we are the first to bring this up at Jennings.

So, just looking at the registration, I'm surprised there are only 11 signed up for this.  I'm really looking forward to helping Doug learn to teach a challenged rider.  Did Doug scare everyone off?

I'm very interested, but I haven't gotten all the stars to align so I can register.
