Lowered 2009 (rear) should I do Front
«

So I lowered with TRex links, before and after measurements put me at 1.25 inch lowered from stock.
Rode for about 30-40 miles afterwards on some TN twisties where I live and handled fine...
So the question is should I correspondly lower the front any?

As long as it hasn't adversely affected the handling, I would say that's a personal preference thing.

If you have risers, you may as well lower the front. I believe it is less than the rear - about 7/8"-1".

Get this book and read it ,
I would not just lower one end of a bike . It will effect the handling
If your going to lower it I would lower the front the same amount .

Also lowering the front, will keep the bike closer to the original geometry.
Ride safe, Ted

Lowered the front 7/8 inch.
Now I have to move my newly installed dual horns to another location

If the horns don't take up anymore room than the OEM (i.e. closer to the fender) you don't have to worry. There is enough clearance. I didn't move mine.

These are aftermarket PIAA horns, dual horns.. they take up a lot more room. I removed them and think I found a place for them

Changing the OEM geometry isn't always a bad thing. As long as you understand what effect the change will have and you adequately test the effect things should be ok. I raised the rear 44mm and lowered the front 35mm. I've been building race chassis for lots of years so this wasn't a random experiment but had a very specific purpose. Changing either end will effect both rake and trail but not by much. Grabbing a hand full of front brake changes the geometry by lots more than raising or lowering the back end. Even with it's a** up, nose down this bike is still very stable a high (150+) speeds and it's quicker-lighter in the twisties.

I had the front and rear lowered , then went back to stock in the rear , front is lowered .
Did not like the feel with lowered rear , made the ride rougher.
