Has anyone here run these tires in the 120/70-17 front and 180/55-17 rear?

No, but I've tried the Road Tec 01's & they absolutely sucked. Hopefully they're better than those, couldn't wait to get them off.

Only reason I looked at the Metzlers was because Revzilla had them for $170 for the pair.

I ran multiple sets of the Z8s on my Ducati 748 and liked them a lot. Numerous friends ran them also and kept going back to them. Good mileage, good wear pattern, and lots of grip. Can’t say how they’d compare on a heavyweight bike like the Connie.

Huh....Does Revzilla "filter" their reviews, BC the reviews on the 01s are quite good....but I recall them not being perfect last summer- last I looked. Nevertheless, a review from a fellow COG'r, carries significantly more weight. I presently run the 01 in the rear, and It was a nice upgrade from the 50 series, worn Michelin RP4, but I admit, I don't have a ton of miles on it and my fat girl has been sleeping the winter away, for the last 5 months, on the battery tender.
