Ok don't throw rocks at me I did do a search but came up with little information.  Anyone tried 200-55 rear tire?  If so how did it handle?  Pros and cons?  Is there room for the extra width?  Hey at least I didn't ask about a car tire.

Thanks Matt.  To lazy to fire the computer up.  Sitting here in the dark surfing on my phone so it's a little harder to do a good search.  I'll keep looking.

I have not tried 55 series 200. But, Take a look at my Shinko Tire Test and Miscellaneous Ramblings. I installed a 200/50/17 series tire that was extremely close in measurement to the Michelin PR4GT 190/55/17 . I did it because the load rating was higher. It worked out great. No clearance issues. Pictures show the areas of concern. I ended mounting 3 sets of those before trying other tires.

The 200/55 will fit but what's your purpose in fitting that tire to your bike?  It's going to make the handling slower not better.  If it's the look you're after, I guess it will give you that but other than costing more $$$ for the extra rubber, it's not going to be a benefit IMHO.

Thanks for the input.  That's why I'm asking. I like the 190/55 so far.  Was thinking it might give a slightly higher ride height therefore ground clearance.

For some ADV riding with your C14 perhaps?

You have lots of money. Go for it!
Let us know what ya think..

"Hmmm", {Thinking sound};
The 200 should raise the rear of the bike slightly.
Which might effect turn a little. {either good or bad}
   If it hurts,, you could probably raise the front to match?
       (and get the ground clearance your seeking)

Or, ya could remove your lowering links to gain some ground clearance..    :-[

By the way, I have an opinion for ya.

If it's really more clearance you're looking for you can raise the back end by installing shorter links. They are available from a company in Germany in 20mm or 40mm shorter than stock. I installed the 40mm set and it made a noticeable difference in the handling. Turn in is quicker and easier yet high speed stability seems to not be affected.

Ran the numbers in my head driving down the road yesterday as a matter of fact.  They don't support the change I was looking for so not likely for me.  Sticking with the 190/55 for now.

Robert, I really like the 190/55 Avon on my bike. It has survived the Wildflower Ride and a trip to southeast Tennessee last month including riding the Dragon five times and all of the way back to Texas. It still has a lot of tread left on it.
