I have the Motool Slacker. I'll get it out in the morning and do a review.

You ever get a chance to post this??   :beerchug:

Its the suspension/ the stock suspension is basically cr@p and and very harsh and has no high speed damping at all let alone sprung correctly and you cannot adjust this harshness out no matter what you do..  This is  makes the tire the part that oscillates (high speed)  instead of the suspension. Most people dont even know what a high end suspension feels like.
I trail brake a lot/ I run the same tires that  would scallop on stock suspensions. Mine no longer scallop once  I upgraded the suspension. Go to a race track.
What is funny is to see all the used Shinkos used and worn out  on the side of the track. You wont find any scalloped tires there.

Set the rebound correctly and cupping goes away. Too fast and the tire bounces, too slow and it skips on the road. You should be able to dial it in. If not something is seriously wrong.

This is an old topic of concern. Max McAllister taught this at a prior national rally. Perhaps you could get some notes on the topic?

While I agree with your assessment, it's somewhat astounding how much disinformation is out there, and continues to be propagated.

Not sure who Max Mac is??  What's his handle on the forum???

thanks for the input.

Glad you know. I gave up when I found people writing dissertations about their belief systems and they were wrong. Max McAllister is the guy who owns Traxxion Dynamics. He rebuilt my race suspension for my CCS bike. Novice race class rules dictates we can't replace our shocks without bumping ourselves to modified class. So we get our suspension built by Max. He has videos on YouTube. I recommend him for all your suspension rebuilds.

Also look for "On The Throttle, Dave Moss, Two Clicks Out, rebound" on YouTube and learn how to set the rebound. One should not need to spend money to set rebound correctly. Incorrect rebound is what causes supping and is what's gonna cause you to "lay it down." Rebound is what the adjustment screw is for. Remember all those C10 guys who say the front Dunlop tire sucks because it cups? Oh boy....what they do not know.....

I am a fan of Dave Moss', and been watching several videos on his teachings.  I know there's ALOT of talented Susp. Guru's out there, but for my money, Dave is the guy to listen to.

I obviously knew about Traxxion, but forget Max's name.  :-[

I was about to move to atlanta last year, and had a last minute change of mind -- so, the traxxion upgrade had to wait.

Thanks for the input.

My Slacker Motool is on the way.  That's going to help tremendously with my overall setup.
new tires going on tomorrow.
