Turbo,

PS.. How's the little extra zip due to the reduced diameter?

Turbo,

I really liked the little extra zip. Just helped that I did not have to do more than an 1 hour at a time on the highway due to STL's size.

Oh, now I get it, how to make a turbo actually work on a street driven motorcycle.... put a little bitty tire on , so it can spool up fast. I guess that's cool if you don't mind 8k at at 80 mph in top gear  >:D  ;)  Steve

yes, it's like riding around in 5th gear...or maybe even 4 1/2...lol very undesirable for any length of time, but i dont have time to ride, so no problems! i def want to try to source a taller car tire in the future, this thing will NEED the tubo bik to burn it off, the stock bike doesn't have enough arse to spin it much before it just over rides the front tire and carries it up and onward!  :-[

Rev Chuck,
try the 160/70ZR17 next time.  slightly taller than OEM and one of the highest 17" weight rating.

ok, aired up the CT to 42 psi and check my front  :-[ the bike sat for a few months and was down to 20 psi  :o
and then i went out for a fairly spirited sprint in some curves and short straights, if felt different but not unstable and i rolled through some sweepers going an indicated 110 and other various slower (40~80) curves...never once did it feel like i was about to slide at all, i'm impressed with it, just needs to have a taller tire to get the revs down for the long haul.  :motonoises:  :great:

Thanks for your pioneering effort Jeff and your test ride comments.
Looks like the smaller diameter is unfortunately the major drawback to this tar.
