PR4 available now but only 17" sizes
« on: January 27, 2014, 03:57:55 pm »
Fyi, Bike Bandit has Michelin PR4 on sale in the 17" size. I'm thinking the GT model would be the choice for our heavy sport tourers. RevZilla has a better price on them, never used them before though.

Yup.  The PR4 Gt is listed as an 18" front.  Not out in time for me this go around, so I went with the PR3.  Ultimately, it seems the PR4, when available, it will be a good choice - on paper anyway....

So keep an eye out for a Mean Streak rear wheel and convert  that rear wheel from a 16x3.5" wide rim to a 17x 5" rim.
You will love how much better the bike handles with a modern tire profile and the massive increase in the  available (good) tires you can buy on sale.
That should stir up some debate  >:D >:D
