REbuild Asst Needed
« on: August 27, 2012, 12:51:18 am »
I have a 91 with a fork oil leak at the seal and have never tore one apart and rebuilt it.
I would like to get someone with some experience  to give me a hand .I m willing to travel for good help and  I do have 1200 rear shock that I will give to the person who helps and I could help him
mount it on his.

What other mods might I do while I have it tore apart that will provide better handling

Iwouldnt mind doing it this weekend and Will go 500mile to get it done

Give me a  list of parts for the upgrade and i will get them ordered mon

PLease
Respectfully Yours!

If your front forks are still stock for very short money you could cut 4" off the stock springs, replace that with 4" of 3/4" schedule 40 PVC and a couple of washers and enjoy a more planted, sportier front end with less brake dive.

Or you could do the same as above and add Gold Valve Cartridge Emulators and enjoy an even more compliant front end.

I hurd the same about em. So I sent em a ZZR shock fer a rebuild after they sed they could do that unit.

After they had it awhile they admitted NFW. A waste of time & shipping...they git a :sign0135:

DRAT!!!  I'm over the 500 mile limit...although, I've never gotten into fork seals, either...but, I did cut 3.5" off my stock springs and replace with 3.5" PVC...makes a nice improvement!
