When something is slow to sell, it's a sign that it's priced too high. We also live in the land of high interest rates. I've heard from some in business that say people don't have any money.

Have another look at the original post. I reduced the price from $7,750 to $6,950.

It's a great bike. Never abused, always well taken care of, low miles, useful upgrades, new battery. Check it out.

That looks like a really FAST red color. Prolly faster red than Ted's red C14.

Somebody needs to jump on this bike.
It's clearly a good deal!

NOTE:
There is no need to top it out nor to compare it with Teds bike,,,,,
Bekuz,,,
"All" RED "Connie's" are fast.
Anddd, my bike is also a 2014 RED..

Ride safe, Ted

PS: I've never topped mine out nor have I raced it.
I just did Roll On Comparisons..
Nothing compares..

Ted, like you, I've never raced mine, either. But it certainly is a blast to roll into the throttle.

I realize that here in So Cal the riding season extends beyond that of some other parts of the country, but if somebody wants to buy this bike and spend the winter "personalizing" it, get it while it's HOT!

Gerry

It looks like I'll be waiting until next spring to find my beautiful Connie a new home. I'm surprised that no one has shown any interest in her...

Hi Gerry, We have a Southwest COG Sierra Sidewinder Rally coming up next weekend. We have 6 persons from Southern California making our way up to Brownsville, Ca. You should join us and ride that fast bike up to Nor Cal. Guaranteed fun time! Check it out on the Event Calendar along with another couple of rallies coming up in October. :) (y)

I sold a bike at the end of the summer a few years ago. No one bit on it, except two people. The first expected that it had been kept in a garage and was only interested if it had less than 5000 miles. It had 30K, so we never talked again.

The other person wanted my bike to commute on, but was wavering a lot. KBB said it was worth something like $6900. I ended up selling it for $5300. My reasoning was that it was more trouble for me to keep the bike in the garage for the winter than a few hundred dollars. Plus, it was going to cost me to insure it and license it again. There are costs associated with keeping a bike, even if it isn't ridden.

Chris, I appreciate your story. My situation is a lot like yours. I would like to stop paying for insurance and registration on a bike that is taking up space in my garage that I would rather use for something else now. I'm not stuck on the price that I listed the bike for. I've reduced the price (see EDIT above) I've been busy with a lot of other things that have distracted me from being more diligent about getting the bike sold. As things settle down for me I'll be more active in the process. I was hoping that posting here, where EVERYONE loves Connies, I would have a favorable audience of people who know and love them and, I hope, where I could find someone who would give it a good home.

She's still available. The price is negotiable.

Thank you, Chris,

Gerry

Motomaniac,

I saw that rally in the event calendar. I wish I could be there but my schedule won't allow it. I wish good weather and lots of fun riding for you and the rest of the participants.

Thanks for the invite,

Gerry

Arteh,

I don't know if California has special emission controls equipment standards for motorcycles. I know my bike has a catalytic converter, which some guys delete by doing an exhaust system upgrade. If you buy the bike and register it in Washington (or any other state with different, or no, emission control standards) you would have to meet that state's standards, not California's.

Let me know if you want my contact information. I don't want to post either my email address or my phone number here, but I can send it to you via private message.

Okay thanks Gerry, will let you know when I learn more information.

If I recall correctly the California models also have an evap canister under the right panel adjacent to the gas tank. I know my 2010 (non California model) does not have an o2 sensor. I think those started showing up in 2015. But don't quote me on it.

Thanks for your help on more information šŸ‘. Anyone else please feel free to add your thoughts.

I know it's getting cold in many parts of the USA, but in places like Arizona and Texas, it's cooling off enough to ride more comfortably. The bike is still available.

We've turned the corner and spring will be here soon. If you're thinking about buying a bike that has low miles and has been well taken care of, the bike listed in this thread is still available.

Ride a lot,

Gerry
