Hello! Looking forward to warmer climes and excellent riding with friends?? Well, here's your ticket!!
The registration for the 2024 edition of the Carving the Cumberlands Spring Rally is now open at this location: https://concours.org/event-5446620
As before, the site is Fall Creek Falls State Park outside of Sparta, Tennessee and we are located in Piney Creek Camp (FKA Group Camp 2). Lodging is in the form of cabins with rudimentary bunks (no tent camping at the site allowed, please). Located in central Tennessee the roads are marvelous and there are plenty of locations to explore and enjoy in the immediate vicinity. The site has 24 cabins, dining hall, commercial kitchen, 3 bath houses and a rec center. Theme is "Rustic” and was described by sage comrades in the past as, “think Boy Scout Camp”. The park Lodge/Restaurant is very close to the camp. Piney Creek is a large camp and fairly level, with a big field in the middle that has a base/softball backstop and a huge "bon fire" pit next to it with rough benches around it. Bring those Kermits and such if your tooshie needs more than lumber, logs, or rocks!
Registration is online and $85 for members, $100 for non-members. The registration covers breakfast and supper for three days (April 25-28) beginning with supper on the 25th and ending with breakfast on the 28th and your lodging. The event has access to a full kitchen, meeting area, and central open space suitable for the mandatory campfire. Also required upon registration is the assignment of work for one shift involving either cooking or general camp cleanliness.
More complete information is available on the event page. Look forward to seeing one and all in April if not sooner!
