Auxiliary Light Wire Routing

I will be installing auxiliary lighting mounted from the underside of my side view mirrors. I am wondering how people have routed the wiring for a flush professional look.
 
I drilled a hole just big enough, and rn my wiring thru

That is exactly what I was contemplating. Did you cut the factory connector off, run the wiring and re-attache the plug/wiring on the other side? My only concern was the ability to warranty my lights if I cut into factory wiring.

The factory plug is about 1/2" in diameter and I don't want to cut such a big hole.
 
Pretty certain I did...if ur worried about cutting the factory connector off, u could probably drill the whole to that size and use a grommet to seal the hole nd wires..
 
Not as sleek as what konehead posted, but an alternative if you don't want to cut ends off. Just remove the panels and file a notch.
