Working on catering for the Saturday night dinner. Would like opinions on menu choices. #1 Mexican, #2 Spare ribs, Potatoe salad etc. #3 ????
Also how many would be interested in Breakfast Burrito's on Saturday and Sunday Morning.
Looking for input from those who know they are going to attend.

Whatever is easiest to arrange. I've been known to eat instant oatmeal in the parking lot.

I'm also finding hearing aids do very poorly in restaurant settings.

Mexican is always on my list of things to eat as long as it's not a vague interpretation where marinara sauce is deemed an acceptable substitute for salsa.

I will handle my own breakfasts.

Charlie's answer was more direct, and direct is probably helpful for you.

Mexican is fine.

I'll do my own breakfast.

So far I have 2 possible catering possibilities. One is Ribs, beans, and potato salad, same cost as last year. Still waiting on the other for prices and menu.

Mexican dinner is okay with me. I'd be open to Breakfast Burritos Sat morning, but not Sunday.
Just my 2 cents.

So, here are the dinner choices for Saturday night dinner in the room we always use at the KOA
1/2 rack rib dinner with potato salad and bbq beans-$35
Pulled pork sandwiches with coleslaw and potato salad-$28
We have to choose one or the other.
Breakfast burritos are order as needed for $6.99 plus tax.

You guys ought to get a little competition with SE and get them to do a “Bun Cooker” in the desert. (Wish I was close enough to come.)😉

I vote ribs.

Registered, looking for a roommate. Anybody want to share a hotel bill?

I currently have booked a single room, but if someone wants to split a room bill I will cancel what I have reserved.

Hope to attend, but my wife has some significant health issues so we'll see if she can ride pillion or not. Or if not might bring the Vette instead. Now that would be a first. By the way, selling my 2018 Goldwing (buying a 2025) if anyone is interested. It's posted under Classified/Other Motorcycles.

This ride was definitely on my radar, but the timing didn't work out. One of my kids is coming out from Kansas to visit that week. No way I'm missing that, not even for a bunch of COGgers :)

We'll try again in '26.

FWIW, the Bun Cooler (or rather the wonderful people I met there) were the reason I joined COG. I had attended a BMW mini-rally a few months earlier and the best part of that rally was going home. The Bun Cooler was totally different. I was greeted and signed in. There were no snobbish cliques to deal with. People were friendly and they acted like they had known me for years.

The riding on Saturday was great. I don't normally like group rides...except with this group. On many group rides, you have no idea of the experience level or maturity level of the riders around you. This COG group quickly settled into those that wanted a more spirited pace and those who wanted to enjoy the ride and scenery...which is amazing there.

One of the guys (who shall remain nameless) tried to get a few more miles on his C10's rear tire. On the way up to Elk City, it was already showing a couple inches of the cords. I got a chance to watch as the COG riders showed they are more than a group of riders, but family. A couple locals arranged to get a new tire from the dealership before they closed. That night in the parking lot of the motel, Art got his tire changed with some hands on help from a couple people and about 35 others sitting on the sidelines, enjoying their favorite beverage, and giving him plenty of encouragement.

I didn't have much of any debate about joining COG after seeing all that. Before I left the motel, I signed up.

If you're sitting on the fence and saying you aren't sure about riding with a group...I can only say this is one of my favorite rides. It's a chance to get together with good friends and ride some good roads.
