Cabin Chill Ride to Eat-July 14th [PA-Md]

This new event is a ride to eat at Jack and Deb’s luxurious cabin located in Bedford County PA, south of Everett.  The ride starts with kickstands up at 9:00 AM at the Rutter’s convenience store located in Hanover, PA at the intersection of Baltimore St. and Grandview Ave.1400 Baltimore St, Hanover, PA 17331.  The route will take some of the best roads you will ever ride, and trust us that we know where they are, and how to cherry pick the best of the best.  The cabin is situated in a scenic location with panoramic views.  Deb will serve up a fine lunch at the cabin for all to enjoy.  You don’t want to miss this one.  :motonoises:

Reminder about the upcoming ride to Jack's Cabin on July 14th, 2019.    Jack and Deb need to plan for the event, so please either register or PM Jack to let then know you are coming.

There are two options for the ride that starts at 9:00 AM at the Rutter’s convenience store located in Hanover, PA at the intersection of Baltimore St. and Grandview Ave.1400 Baltimore St, Hanover, PA 17331.  Option #1 is 109 Miles of Fantastic Roads.  Option #2 Tacks on an additional 23 Miles that features Robinsonville Road and the famous and perfect Route 26. 

Please download the route sheet and GPS files prior to the ride, and again, please register.

We had 12 COG members take advantage of the perfect weather and ride to the Cabin for the perhaps the best ride to eat venue ever! The largest group ran a 132 mile route starting in Hanover PA led by fast pace Greg Puterbaugh.  The rest of the riders relied on GPS since this cabin is in a remote location with a non-descriptive driveway. The riders who had arrived at the cabin earlier, set out to ride the route backwards to meet the incoming group.  Deb and Jack served up a fantastic lunch in the “barn” to the hoard of hungry riders that showed up. One rider said this barn is nicer than my house!  If you never rode in Bedford County, the roads are the best of the best as they snake though the valleys. Route 26 needs a place in the COG hall of fame along with hosts Jack and Deb. I think everyone is hoping we can do this one again!
