First shot at having a regular RTE for Bay Area & Central Coast riders. Meet up at area favorite Buck's Restaurant in Woodside at 8:30 am on Sunday, March 2 for breakfast. Riders can also skip that and we will shoot for KSU at 9:30.

Planning a casual mountain ride up Hwy 35 into the Santa Cruz Mtns, then south to Boulder Creek, then west to Waddell Beach - all on 2-lane roads. From there we cruise Hwy 1 (Pacific Coast Highway) north for a stretch, then up to 84 to famous Alice's Restaurant for a snack, then disperse toward home.

The ride is posted on the events calendar for SW. We will see if this gets interest and possibly make this a regular thing — depending on interest. See you out there.

UPDATE: We have several riders expressing interest, but with rain in the forecast in the local area and mountain for Sunday, we are shifting the ride up to THIS SATURDAY, MARCH 1. All other details remain the same.

Sorry about the late change, but it is still “winter” here in NorCal and the rain slick mountain roads are no joke, especially after a long dry spell — like we have had. Hope to see you — and DM me if you have questions about joining us.

Beautiful day for breakfast and a ride. Ended up being 7 hours door to door with great two-lane twisty roads through the Santa Cruz Mountains and even a stretch of PCH. Joined by Gary Rhoades (COG 13444) and Michael Parks (COG 1053). Photo with roads cones was not a morning warm up, but rather a section of parking lot at Alice’s Restaurant apparently coned off for the lunch crowd. We rolled through again later in the day and it was wall-to-wall bikes and sports cars.
