Looking for a fairing pocket cover for my '06. Right side was missing when I purchased bike from original owner. DFW area. Thanks

If you want it right away check out ronayers.com They are fairly cheap there. If you want the best price keep an eye on ebay. They are pretty easy to find there. Good luck. '02 Connie COG # 6662 Dallas, Tx

That retaining ring on the lock likes to get loose and fall off. I've had it drop out a couple of times, now it's something I check when I change oil. Any ideas on a way to keep it on there w/o interfering w/the lock?

My right one has been missing since I have owned the bike. Still locks ok though. But when you unlock its easy to loose the whole thing. 2003 Concours, 48K COG #6953 IBA 28004 http://mysite.verizon.net/slybones/Concours/connieMain.htm

+1 Brett. My nut just disappeared down inside the fairing the other day. Ended up going to Home Depot and buying a new lock assembly. Doesn't quite fit but close enough.

Both of mine on my '06 came up missing. A garden hose washer works real well. In 1000's of miles they haven't fallen off yet.

Wow a garden hose washer. That is a real COG fix. Beats the heck out of $6 for a new latch form HDepot. 1990 Aint she a pretty Tomato (the bike ofcourse) wedshots albums http://community.webshots.com/user/sawfiler64/albums/most-recent

I just read this and ran down and tried it. Its a nice tight fit looks like it belongs there. Sweet. Only took me 4 years to fix this one. It was free and took 5 minutes. -- Well ok I am going to have to stop by HD tomorrow and get more before the wife uses the hose... 2003 Concours, 48K COG #6953 IBA 28004 http://mysite.verizon.net/slybones/Concours/connieMain.htm

Ya know this little tip looks good enough to make a page for it. Here is a pic of the garden hose washer in place. Looks like it belongs there. http://mysite.verizon.net/slybones/Concours/images/IMGP2346.JPG 2003 Concours, 48K COG #6953 IBA 28004 http://mysite.verizon.net/slybones/Concours/connieMain.htm

For those who still have there nuts it would make a good lock nut to prevent castration. 1990 Aint she a pretty Tomato (the bike ofcourse) wedshots albums http://community.webshots.com/user/sawfiler64/albums/most-recent

Lost the lock assy too on my '05 while back... didn't need the lock anyway. So, installed bungee cord (mini style) inside pocket, attached to rear stuff, then attached other end to hole of cover. Now, while riding, I can reach inside the pocket to get my 'stuff' without the cover blowing up into my handlebar. Didn't like the hole, so later I installed a black knob to cover the hole. costs: 5 min and spare parts. Now...let's go ridin!

Of couse COG is free to make their own too. http://mysite.verizon.net/slybones/Concours/connieFLockFix.htm http://mysite.verizon.net/slybones/Concours/images/IMGP2346.JPG 2003 Concours, 48K COG #6953 IBA 28004 http://mysite.verizon.net/slybones/Concours/connieMain.htm

For extra credit tell me whats wrong with this picture
The lock is installed 180 degrees out? (i.e. the lock tab will only pont in toward the center of thepocket when rotated, instead of engaging the frame)

winner, winner. I have of course fix that. But I was so thrilled with how cool that thing was going to work, I didnt even thing to pay attention to how I was installing the lock. Until I went to go put it back on the bike. 2003 Concours, 48K COG #6953 IBA 28004 http://mysite.verizon.net/slybones/Concours/connieMain.htm

COG is awesome! I noticed that the ring on my right side lock had come off just yesterday (not sure where it disappeared to, but it's gone). Now here I find this great solution. Home Depot here I come! :)
