How are we comming on an oficial cog high viz vest? I saw a couple of riders the other day with florecent green gloves. Very noticable. Would like to get some if anybody knows where? The darkness of winter is comming. I ride coonie as long as there is no danger of ICE! 1990 Aint she a pretty Tomato (the bike ofcourse) wedshots albums http://community.webshots.com/user/sawfiler64/albums/most-recent

If you just want a high vis vest then should not be to hard to find. Many serves bases (army, navy...) all require a safety vest now to ride on base. safetyvest.com :) never dealt with them but was high in the google returns. ---------------------------------- I will answer any question. It is up to you to figure out if I should have.

There was quite a bit of talk last spring about getting vests or jackets with the Cog logo in a high vis. If there was a large patch available we could put that on any jacket. Come to think of it, Maybe there is, I havn't looked lately. 1990 Aint she a pretty Tomato (the bike ofcourse) wedshots albums http://community.webshots.com/user/sawfiler64/albums/most-recent

No, sorry... nothing yet. I was waiting for one of the original poster to reply (either in the forum or to my pm) since they lived near the distributer and was going to do a write up on the quality. I don't remember reading anything more, but I may have missed it. I'll go back and see what I can find. Dave the custom CONREP vests I have are made by a local CT company (See Bak). Not sure if it is worth the setup charge if you don't get enough orders. The other option is to purchase a blank OTS vest and have your silk screen vendor do the rest using an existing COG logo screen. -- Steve Smith, #3184 COG Northeast Area Director (somewhere in south central CT) If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much space.

Navy hasn't required them for a few years. I'd check Walmart, Home Depot or Lowes for one. Here's some high viz glove covers if you ride in the rain: http://www.aerostich.com/catalog/US/Aerostich-Triple-Digit-Rain-Cover-p-16447.html Roger ('07 Wee Strom) COG 5903 Virginia Beach, VA

I tried their "martian Mitts" and realy don't care for them. My Olympic winter gloves work good in the rain and cold to around 40* then I use those heat packs things. The gloves I saw looked like regular gloves (5 fingers) and were that flo green. Realy stood out. 1990 Aint she a pretty Tomato (the bike ofcourse) wedshots albums http://community.webshots.com/user/sawfiler64/albums/most-recent

If y'all want a hi viz safety vest, look at the ICON MIL SPEC vest: http://www.kneedraggers.com/pages/notfound/521-ICON05-5 If you Google the item you'll find a you tube demo of the vest. It comes in bright yellow or orange. Now take the COG patch you got from our Merchandize Czar and it will fit in the velcroed ID pocket if you trim a tad off the right and left ends. Now you're visible and have COG gear. :8|: Pat COG 1887 IBA 5830 "Dulcinea" A13 KLR 650 "Betsy" K7 DL650 "Tri-X" DR 350SEX "Pogo" '06 Ruckus "Track Machine" '04 R6 "Grey Ghost" '07 EX 250

http://www.bostonindustrial.com/hivicliisave.html http://www.bostonindustrial.com/hiviwirestcl.html I bought one of the XL windbreakers and it goes over my riding jacket OK. The drawback is that it closes with snaps instead of a zipper, but for about $25 delivered, it's not bad.

Zorlac, Thanks for the link. They have several styles and colors, and will screen print name or logo. Hey Czar, Check them out if you get a chance. Can we get a Cog logo to sew on the same size as the large Cog decal? 1990 Aint she a pretty Tomato (the bike ofcourse) wedshots albums http://community.webshots.com/user/sawfiler64/albums/most-recent

We can do almost anything, but it really boils down to cost. The club already has a bunch of money tied up in the current inventory, I'm not sure how many $50+ hi-viz vests/jackets we could sell. Dave i agree those vests are made for road workers not riding on a bike . a vest like icons is made longer in back so it wont flap around. i wouldn't dole out 50 just for the cog logo it would have to be designed for motorcycle use.
