After our vacation to the Black Hills recently (pre-Sturgis), the wife expressed an interest in getting her motorcycle endorsement. She got signed up for the BRC at our local community college, but its so full, she has to wait until October. Saturday, we're out of town and stop into a dealer just to browse. My wife saw this bright red Majesty. It's all about color, guys! Her $$ limit was X, and this was X + more, so she said 'let's go'. Yesterday we head back to the same area to take my youngest to a water park, then we find the park closed on Mondays. So we head to the dealer. Wife says offer them Y. I ask cash, out the door price, and its close. I tell 'em Y, they split the difference. Now, just as a precaution, I put my helmet and long pants in the car trunk. Couple hours later, I'm driving the 'fire-engine-red' Yamaha Majesty home. My wife started feeling guilty 'cuz we spent more on this than on my Connie, but she's worth it. I got extra points this week! Tonight is parking lot maneuvers... pics when I get some taken... ..dz.. 2003 Concours 1983 Honda Silverwing 2008 Yamaha Majesty (new)

They are nice machines those 400 CC scoots. Caution however. Please check with your MSF course administrators to see if you can use a 400 CC machine for the BRC. The TEAM OREGON program allows riders to use their own scooters larger than 50CC but less than 250CC displacements in the BRT/ aka MSF BRC. AKA "2linby" That's 2-lin-by folks! The school provides 250cc machines for the BRC, so no worries there. She'll learn clutch control, but not need it for this ride. Now if she wants to take my connie after that...hmmmmm. ..dz.. 2003 Concours 1983 Honda Silverwing 2008 Yamaha Majesty (new)

Actually you are the one that had better beware... You are used to having a clutch and if you pull that left lever thinking you are going to shift you could be in for a surprise. Enjoy the ride, both of you. IMG]http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee179/gbwinger/Humor/Gas.jpg[/IMG]

I work with a guy that bought a 2007 Yamaha Majesty 400. He's had problems with it stalling and also not starting after sitting for a short while. I did a little research for him and found that there was a recall on the fuel pump, and that the stalling issue only seems to be fixed by replacing the ECU. Make sure that the one you buy has the fuel pump replaced or that it doesn't fall within the recall. If you have stall problems, now you know about the ECU fix and won't have to figure it out on your own. Also, a good Majesty site for info is here: http://majestyusa.com/
