Keying the kawasaki one key system

I didn't see any threads on setting up the kawasaki one key systems so I figured I'd make one. I just bought a full setup for the top case, including the one key system. The instructions certainly don't take you down the most efficient path. the kit comes with the lock core, 4 bags of key ways and a bag of springs. The instructions say to pick a bag and start putting them in and then swap out ones that aren't right. The bags are colored (red, blue, yellow and green). The color on the bags corresponds to the dimensions of the keyways. #1 is 2.5 mm, #2 is 3.0 mm, #3 is 3.5mm and #4 is 4.0 mm. I measured the keyways and labeled the colored bags #1-#4.
My key # is B132224. I guessed that the # of the keyway mapped to the key# slot (since that identifies the depth of the cut for the key). By my measurements, blue=#1, red=#2, green=#3 and yellow=#4. The lock core has 5 slots. So I used a 1,3,2,2,and 2. The last digit of the key isn't used. Perfect fit and I didn't have to swap the keyways several times to find the right one. Not that I don't enjoy playing with tiny springs when you have to pop the keyway piece out and in a bunch of times.

There is an excellent fifteen minute video on YouTube on how to set up the lock on an S10 truck which uses the same (or nearly identical) cylinder. I found it very useful.

Wow! This is timely and I am interested. Would you share the link to purchase this? I am hoping to key a saddle bag to my current set up. After my saddle bag was destroyed by a deer I purchase a saddle bag off ebay, which is awesome, but it is not keyed to the rest of my bike.

I got this as part of the entire top case kit from my local dealer. They gave me a 20% discount off retail on the whole setup. This is the part #, 1 key system - 99994-0528 - 32.76 (40.95 retail). This is for the b key. Same thing on amazon. Once the lock cylinder is put in it is locked in there. I would assume you have to drill the old one out.
