Owned the C14 for one week and ended up dropping it leaving a friends house . I was showing off my new to me BIG GREEN MACHINE to my good friend and mechanic. I was leaving on a gravel driveway with a slight incline , stopped for traffic , my brain said turn right , my body decided to turn left and I folded the front tire into the soft shoulder and dropped it on the right side. I was so pissed , it was so stupid to change game plan mid start up. Slight but noticeable scratch’s on right rear bag, slight scuff lower front faring. Most damage to my pride. Dumb thing is this is the second bike I have dropped in my friends drive way almost in the same spot. He has help me pick up both bikes as well as doing a lot of the wiring and Iron Butt mods for the Venture and ST. He made sure I was safe, checked over the bike then reminded me of worse things I have screwed up. You know ,best friend pep talk. Just to add fun I hit a OPP ride program for impaired driving on the way home. Riding season just coming to an end here, hope to do some winter maintenance and paint touch up lol this winter. Biggest irony is I have been trolling the forum for engine and rear bag guards for the C14 because I wish to do the Police Slow Course . Previous bike was the HONDA VARADERO same weight but had all the crash bars, it was down a few times as well. Well I live to ride another day. Live and learn the hard way.

What year 14 you got? I have a set of T-Rex bars (Front n Rear) off my 22 14. They suppose to fit any from 2009 to 2022 models if I'm not mistaken. if your interested.

Riding season just coming to an end here...

It's the same here in Texas. I guess our riding season is soon to end.
This week the temps have gone all the way down to 70!!
We may freeze!!!

Ride safe, Ted

PS: Yes I'm a Smarty A--.
Actually it just got cool 'E'nuff to start enjoying a ride again.
Summer has been particularly hot this year.

Hope the touch-ups are underway or completed and you are eagerly awaiting the upcoming riding season - will be here before you know it.

Ride safe, especially in that friend's driveway that has bit you a couple times...

Most of us have btdt at least once. And it usually happens in front of someone else, usually the last one(s) you want to have see it. Onward!

Bit late to this, but thank you for posting.

The brain and body not working well together can get us into lots of trouble, at least yours happened at a slow speed. :p
