New to Connie, have Honda ST 1300

strider

Big Wheel
Those of you who have owned Honda ST 1300, any thoughts about what you like better about the Concours?  Advantages or things you liked better about the Honda.  I am looking forward to owning the Connie.

I haven't owned a ST1300 but I have ridden one.  My opinion is that the C14 is the superior Sport touring bike, since the ST1300 is more on the sport Touring side of the equation.  The C14 won't be able to go nearly as far at a ST1300 on a tank of fuel since it holds almost two gallons less, but IMO the C14 will put more of a smile on my face since the performance of the ST1300 is kind of "vanilla".  30 more HP and a couple less pounds makes a big difference on a bike.  If you don't mind pulling over to fuel up more often then I don't think you can go wrong with the C14.

Sorry, there are a lot better guys with the ST1300 info. My time on an ST is very limited. And I never actually owned an ST1300. So my input would be very limited. It's best left to the ST guys.

Looking to try something new.  The ST is a fantastic machine but I like the performance and features of the  Connie.  The ST  feels like it should have a 6th gear at times, and wondered how it compared to those that have had both.

Had a 2000 Connie for 7 years.  Went with an '07 ST1300A in 2007 because the C14 was just too new.  As one person said, it seems like the ST needs a 6th gear.  Otherwise, I have not been disappointed with my choice.
