Oregon Coast Range Ramble (my memeory is almost as good as my spelling) Anyone from the Phuget Sound area thinking about this? If I go, I'll head down Fri. AM and back Sunday. Have relatives in Eugene area that need a visit anyway. Probably 2 of us. Son and I. Not sure yet though.

This one I am making. I wanted the Bun Cooler this weekend and that didnt work out. So I am heading down on Friday and getting 3 Oregon Dams on the DamTour Friday. Probably meet up with DamDan ( COG member too ) and ride the dams and into Eugene. Coast Range Ramble Sat. Stay in Eugene again Sat Evening and ride home Sunday. Was thinking of the Coast home.

Son has been talking coast home also. Me, I don't know. Like to get home early. The Dams would be nice, but neeed to spend some time with family in Eugene. What kind of schedule are you planning? PS Who are your LEDs working out?

Tentative plan would be to meet DamDan in Portland around noon. Then make the loop with the Dams and arrive in Eugene around 6:00-6:30 Range on Friday Saturday is the Coast Range Ramble and thats about it. No real plans otherwise. Sunday I wouldnt mind doing the coast. But I know thats gonna be slow. I figure see what time we/I make it to Astoria. Depending on time then head for I-5 Longview and head for home. If time available continue on 101 with I-5 in Olympia as the next backup. If time available take 101 up thru Shelton and Bremerton and take the Edmonds - Kingston Ferry across and ride in from there. Make it all the way with NO I-5. But thats if time allows. With 2 optional head for I-5 spots if time is getting tight.

Back to the top. Charles ( a DmaTour rider ) and I are leaving Friday morning. We are heading to Portland, then Madras via 26. And into Eugene via 126. With 3 Dams in route. Saturday is the Coast Range Ramble. And the Sunday ride home is well, up for discussion. With the Coos Bay dam being so close, and the long ride to get there I just might have to squeeze that in some how. Not sure how but I am seriously considering it.
