Shad or Give top cases

I put the Kawasaki OEM top case on my '08 C14 and love it! It was easy to install and holds a full face helmet, plus some extra stuff.

I have the givi e52 on my c10. It's a great bag, but don't use the givi brake light get the admore lighting brake light, it's much better.

I've had both Givi and Shad. They're both great top cases. The Givi tends to cost more by the time your done purchasing the extras to use it. My Shad 46 that I have on my C14 came with a steel mounting plate that I installed in place of the OEM C14 rack. So it cost me the price of some screws and washers besides the price of the case. But if you buy a Shad, double check that it still comes with a steel rack. With the Givi you definitely have to purchase a way of mounting the case for extra money. My thought on top cases, the bigger the better. With that said, GIVI has a 55 liter. I have the E46 with the LED tail light and love it, just wished it were larger. Look at it this way, this is one item that you will use the entire time you have a MC, so get what you want. tcars John

I have a Givi that came with my first Concours. I am now on my third bike and over 100k miles with the same case. With a bit of "Back to Black" treatment it still looks and functions as new. That is the only input I have for ya. Photos[/url]

Last I saw anyone post the color trim was on indefinite back-order. Here's what a Givi E55 looks like on the back of the bike.
