The Xtreme Dragbike Association's 18th annual Bike Fest (click for schedule) will be held at Maryland International Raceway from July 27-29. In addition to the many classes of motorcycle drag racing, there will also be a bike show, a sound competition, and yes, even a bikini contest! All COG members are invited to southern Maryland for a lunch "meet and greet" and a ride on Sunday, July 29, 2018, even if you don't want to attend the show!
We will meet at 12:00 PM for lunch at the Texas Roadhouse at 103 Drury Dr, La Plata, MD (this is subject to change based on rider preference, but we'll base it there for now to have a common start point). From the Capital Beltway and I-95, in Maryland, take exit 7 (Maryland Route 5) and go south for 22 miles (Route 5 will eventually merge with, and split from, US 301; at the split in Waldorf, stay on US 301) until you reach Heritage Green Pkwy. Make a left and a quick right on Drury Drive, and the Texas Roadhouse will be on the right.
We will leave Texas Roadhouse at approximately 1:00 PM for a 48-mile romp in southeastern Charles County that will end at the racetrack in time for the start of rounds 3-5 of eliminations, the Sound Competition, and the Bikini Contest. The gates close at 7p that night, and we can definitely grab a bite before folks head back home.
In addition to your food and fuel, a one-day pass to the track is $20, and a combination ticket to both the Bike Show and the Sound Competition is an additional $30.
