I know it is a little late, but I wanted to thank all of the people that helped me get back to the Rally and then home after my injury
during the National Rally. Kari Flint who coordinated the effort to get me the help I needed. Marty Cobb my riding buddy who took
care of me. Helped me back to the road and kept me company while I sat on the side of the road waiting for help. He rode back
20 miles twice to get a cell signal to get a hold of the rescue help. Riding back to keep me company then riding back out again to check on the
help status.
Steve Larson who provided his truck and trailer to Angie Nugent and Steve Carlson. They volunteered to come and get me and my bike
on a moments notice, even though I was approx. 150 miles away. Marcel De Souza for all the prayers that were definitely answered. Thanks.
Traci and Chris Lillie for volunteering to transport my bike to their home in Iowa and then bring it to me when I am ready for it.
Kathy and Blaise Brojakowski for providing the truck and trailer to get the bike to Iowa. To Russ Saunders for the use of his truck to transport me
back to Rally central the next day from Arcata Ca. where I had to spend the night after being discharged from the hospital. And again, to Marty Cobb
for driving down to get me back to the Rally.
Robeert Bradford, Ted Adcock and Bob Forsyth for giving me a ride home to Texas, no questions asked, except how are you doing? Do you need
anything? And for keeping me comfortable on the 3-day trip home.
Mad River Community hospital emergency room, for the great care. Blue lake Casino and hotel that helped me get an ADA room for the night after
hospital discharge.
The Cab driver in Arcata that turned his meter off when it reached his estimate, he gave me for the ride to the hotel, with a couple miles to go.
To all the COG rally attendees that wished me well, said prayers and offered all kinds of help and ideas to get me and my bike home.
I was truly overwhelmed with the outpouring of concern for my wellbeing.
Thanks to you all. Hope I did not leave anyone out.

This Is why I "JOINED FOR THE BIKE AND STAYED FOR THE PEOPLE".
This is truly proof to me and should be to all, of our motto.

PS Five days after getting home I had surgery to reattach my quadricep tendon. I am doing well. Just started therapy a few days ago
and the Doctor says I should be good to ride again in 5 to 6 months.

I think that is a great idea! I know Doug would love to put something together for the Concourier!
 
Tell him to have at it and if he needs some help, let me or the Writers group know. Ashley O’Donnell is taking over the Concourier and Ed Palmer is going to chair the writers group.

Great news to hear you’re doing well and on the mend.

That is quite a list of folks who assisted with your plight.

I don’t know if it’s a good idea to publicly thank Robert Bradford, it will definitely go to his head. :)

Glad you’re doing better and I’d agree this is an amazing group of folks.
