Hello!

I'd LOVE to snag a pair of those tip over bars... especially since some a-hole kicked over my other bike for no reason... trying to avoid serious damage.

Any news when you'll have the fronts back in stock? Or are they a discontinued item?

As of now, not available, we still have the hardware sets available..we lost our supplier that could make the tight radius bend these need

I packed out and will be shipping orders to those that placed a deposit tomorrow. There will only be about 6 more units left after the prepay when folks are done, then another slight pause while we wait on a missing component. If you have all the bracketry and are just looking for the tubes themselves we will have a few of those available separately...and theres a few blems where powder coating took a lick or two in transport.
 
Don't call them "blems", they are distressed and sell for a premium...like distressed furniture ans jeans with holes.

Fender guitars calls it road worn. Yup. Those cost more. Or you could go with "patina".
 
Just another example of how its not over till its over. After the cutting, bending, plug welding..all to spec, prep work and powder coating....the person sticking them in the box for the return trip kinded dropped the ball.
 
OK, As far as I can tell all who have paid a deposit have been notified , those that have used paypal have been sent an invoice for the remainer due.
 
BTW... those bars make an awesome place to mount auxiliary lights to form the "light triangle" that makes you more visible to oncoming traffic.

Yup, you just need to take the "hoop" part of the bars off, and the side fairing panel slips off around the brackets left bolted to the engine. The mounting brackets stay on the engine and aren't in the way for any normal maintenance work.

The only tricky part is removing/installing the top hoop bolt, as it's facing back towards the engine in the upper air extractor scoop, so a flex-head ratcheting box wrench is the best tool (5/8" head on the bolts). The left-hand side is tighter quarters than the right, as the air scoop is shallower than the right (due to the timing chain box on the engine). Here's a photo of accessing this bolt with a flex-head wrench (right side shown):

The lower hoop bolt on both sides is much easier, as you can get a regular box wrench on from the front, as it's in one of the little vents, and the fairing is tapering in towards the front nose at the coolant reservoir.

Once you have the hoops off and remove the fairing, the remaining brackets are very minimal:

I always used painter's tape to protect the paint in the fairing. Apply it just behind the bolt heads so you won't scratch them.
I also took a spare combination wrench and modified it.
I ground the box end thinner, then heated the neck and increased the bend angle. Made it much easier to work the bolts.
