USA and Canada Ride - Planning and Ideas (2025)

Hi Everyone

At the Bun Cooler this year I said I'd look into organising a USA to Canada trip (50/50 ride) for this fall. There's no way I can get that time off from work this year. I'll post ideas here and we can develop this ride for the 2025 calendar.

Initial Thoughts:
Timing - Early to mid September is ideal for touring the Canadian Rockies. Less traffic, lower hotel prices and the weather is stable.
Route - One general idea - The USA folks could ride Going to the Sun Road. I could pick up the group in maybe Babb MT and lead the group to the Chief Moutain border crossing. We could spend a couple of days in Canada before heading over Crowsnest pass and west into BC and the Washington broder.

I'll update this thread as more thoughts and routes develop and gain detail.

Cheers

Jesal

I'm in! I think this idea is great and I know you would get a good amount of riders to do it Jesal. :)

I don't know if it would fit in with the amount of time available, but I'd suggest Hwy 93, the Icefield Pkwy. If you've never seen it, you should. If you've seen it before...you know you'll want to do it again.

Of course you could always take in the sights of North Dakota instead.
