Coggers and friends, coming up soon on Sunday 22 September 2013 at the Marshall, VA VFD. We'll meet there at 8 AM for a brekkie to benefit the Marshall fire department, then ride over 99.96% paved roads to a lunch destination at Melanie's at Aurora, WV, across from Cathedral SP.

See:
http://www.cog-online.org/clubportal/EventDetail.cfm?clubID=1328&EventID=178781&mo=9&tDate=%7Bd%20%272013%2D09%2D05%27%7D

Then down more pretty roads to visit the Muntzing Equinox Arch in Maysville, WV before heading over backroads to I-81 at Mauzy, VA. I'll be exercising the Ninjette 250.

Hope for sunshine to see the equinox arch do it's thing, and I'll hope to see you there!

Pat Noticed you changed the lunch destination. What time is the arch supposed to do its thing? Might meet you all somewhere along the route. You know how I like sneek up behind you. >:D

Yessirr, Andy, we have noticed how you somehow appear ITMOFN and have us scratchin' our heads! Folks, Andy knows EVERY shortcut in WV!

The Muntzing Equinox Arch does it's thing at the equinox, actually on the day before and after, too, providing.........................there is some sunshine! Which we have ordered, as not to disappoint.

We may even notice a school bus there; it is a favourite field trip for kids.

Hope that you can sneak up on us, Andy.  :great:

Pat,

Like Andy, I plan to join in process. I'll be heading from Blacksburg so will meet you at the arch. will likely have lunch in Franklin but won't see you until the arch.

Sorry that we missed you, Dusty. Yes, we had a very good ride. Andy tied in with us on Route 50, had a very good lunch at Melanie's, rode down to the Muntzing Equinox Arch---perfect shadows there. A Mr. Smith, the cemetery caretaker, came over and talked with us for a while.

One of my fav roads leading into Moorefield from Patterson Creek Road is GONE. A new pork barrel project has a four lane (route 48) going through there now. It will connect with "the road to nowhere" (Corridor H) at some point.

Thanks to all who attended. We had some great riders to attend, eight in all. Glen, sorry we missed you! Anyone having any photos please send them to Steve Smith or Tim Anderson. Thanks!

Pat
