West Austin Ride?

I have always wanted to set up a ride that occurred on that perfect day with perfect weather. Maybe only giving short notice like the day before. I have set up several rides down here in the past and weather and distance made each one less fun than I wanted for everyone.

My question and problem is, how many members can I get to show up for a ride just west of Austin somewhere? Do you think you can be here by 9-10am for a 2-4 hour ride?

If I make a meet up that is longer and may require overnight stay near here, how many of you are more interested in that?

Bob, I would make that ride.9/10am would be fine maybe show up day before and stay in a motel in area for a couple nights. Hope you can find that perfect day.

I use to be able to make a list of members within so many miles of me/here. If I had a email list like that I could send an email a day or two ahead that would let people come stay in the area the night before if needed. That might work.

No easy way to get that list though. You either have to know every zip code in a 200 mile distance or send to the entire SC area to people 500 miles away.

Ask the Membership officer or maybe the Events coordinator for help. Mark was working on member location mapping with Google maps a while ago.
