Off topic but that dog pic gave me a wonderful flashback of our pooch we had for 18 years.

Love the Williamsport area for riding and the town vibes.  I have other plans or I would be there.

Hi Guys,

I have yet to make it to Williamsport for any of the past get togethers.
For all of you that have stayed at the Genneti before, I have some questions.

I am going to book a room for the 2019 National.
I see they have a motel type setup back by the pool, is this where all the after riding, cigar smoking, IPA drinking, fun is?
How do the pool area rooms compare to the main hotel (SO is coming, so this is more important to her)?
If the Hotel rooms are better, how far of a walk is it from the main hotel to get to the pool area? internal hallway?

During larger events, people will be spread out
throughout the facility. Where your room is located
may be irrelevant.
That said, I would describe the rooms at the pool,
while spotless, as “generic”. Whereas the rooms in
the main hotel can be exceptional, especially the
two-bed queen rooms.
I’ve stayed in both. If I was bringing my wife I
would probably stay in the main hotel.

Check this thread for more discussion.
The walk from the Far end of the Parking lot, to the Frontdesk is a good 100 yards if not more.
Rooms by the pool may be noisey.
