I remember reading that the 2010 has more fork oil than the 09. How many oz. more? In which fork? Can the preload adjuster be unscrewed all the way out and oil added? Rick

The specified amount of fork oil in the 2008 service manual is 445 milliliters (ml) when changing the oil or 526ml when totally dry. The fork oil level is listed at 101 millimeters (mm) from the top with the spring removed and fully compressed. On the 2010 bike, the fork oil amount specified in the manual is 470ml when changing the oil or 551ml when totally dry. The specified fork oil level 93mm from the top of the tube with spring removed and fork collapsed. So that basically means the fork oil level height measured from the top of the fork in the 2010 bike has been increased by 8 millimeters (mm), and the specified amount when changing was increased by 25 milliliters (ml). You should be able to unscrew the cap and lift the top up enough to allow you to add a measured amount of oil if you decide you want to do that, but you won't be able to measure the actual oil level.
