C-10 Rear Shock Mounting Question

I'm trying to get the stock rear shock mounted...and, the rear tire has come off the wood that it was on...and, is now sitting on the garage floor...so, the top holes won't line up...bottom bolt is in place...will it be easier to remove the rear wheel to get things to line up...or, does this just make things worse?  I'm a one man show doing this...so, any and all advice is appreciated...

If you have some way of lifting the bike with tie straps from  a rafter or engine hoist is one way. The other is a block of wood and a jack under the oil pan.

Thanks Jim!  Great minds must think alike...only, I just wrapped a ratchet tie down around the frame and the swingarm and cinched up the wheel that way...same concept...just no place to anchor to on the ceiling.

Anyway, got it done.

Thanks!

I put a scissor jack under the rear drive and jacked it up.  I did have a strap on my center stand to make sure it would not shift forward and come off the stand.
