I need a 2000 front fender (this year/color only) as its very close (enough) to the Candy Wine Red for the project.

Are you looking to shed any parts from the '00?
 
No.  The 2000 is my primary ride.  I've just compared its color to the '88's and it matches almost identically, especially since there's some space between the fender and the fairing to break it up.
 
Thanks Meemuh,  Bummer on the drop.  That's what happend to the '05, actually not a drop but a low side. 

That's why its in 'therapy'.

Keep an eye on ebay - you may find one pop up for reasonable cost.
