CDA upgrade??

BikerDave

Big Wheel
Ok, I earned my original CDA award after tipping my 2K in my driveway trying to turn it around. Well....I dropped my 87 today when she stalled turning in a parking lot. Scratched the left mirror and fairing lower, small crack on the fairing just below the left t.s but happily not anything else. So do I upgrade to something like CDA 1st Class or something now...lol??

That would be tricky IMHO. My CDA stories are boring and run of the mill, but some I've read definitely deserved bonus points. It's all pretty subjective though, could turn into a career for our beloved CDA Dude if the reins aren't tight enough. :) AMA# 1019197 COG# 8229 CDA# 0267

I've sugested before that we should get a medal with clusters for multiple drops. Maybe a sticker that looks like a bandaide with an out-line of a connie laying on it's side for each drop? We can put them on the windscreen. You know, like the silohets that fighter pilots paint on their plains for each kill. 1990 Aint she a pretty Tomato

If you get a medal for dropping it, do you get a trophy for crashing :quest: :eg: ;p Claude / Burnaby, BC, Canada COG #8173 2008 C14 as of 05/16/2008 "RIP" I'll be back soon boy's!!!

CDA First Class - that's funny right there! Managing the CDAs as-is is about all I can muster but I do like the ideas you guys are mentioning. I put my CDA number in the little window on the left side fairing. The silohets sawflier mentioned sounds cool. Anyone got some artistic experience to draw a tipped Connie? CDA's are for dropping only. If we were to have one for crashing, I'd suggest; 'The Order of the Brown Pants' or OBP. :) AMA# 1019197 COG# 8229 CDA# 0267

I like that silhouette idea!! Have your number on one sticker, then little tipped connies for each additional tipover!! Lmao!! ;)

I just like bumming the flow. I feel we should not award people for more then one drop. The award is for achieving the inevitable. Not of how bad your personal luck or lack of skills or strength are. ---------------------------------- I will answer any question. It is up to you to figure out if I should have.

Yes, "smithr"... while I don't disagree with you... I think they're just kidding... some very funny ideas :) And oh yeah... if you start lining your windshield with stickers of a tipped over Concours... you'll want to make them easily removable... cause each one would lower re-sale value by $100, if that day were to come :)

Sorry for posting on the CDA thread guys, maybe "crashers" should start there own??? :eg: But I really do like sawfiler's idea of a Maple Leaf with a Connie on it for us Canucks!!! and maybe adding a little bottle of maple syrup for the ones who survive the crash!!! :8o: :) ;p :eg: Claude / Burnaby, BC, Canada COG #8173 2008 C14 as of 05/16/2008 "RIP" I'll be back soon boy's!!!

You have to think twice about using the windshield at all since it is one of the things that brakes sometimes on a drop. I know this was all in fun but if I see someone with 10 drop sticker I am not parking next to him for sure. ---------------------------------- I will answer any question. It is up to you to figure out if I should have.

Ok OK the windshield was a bad idea. How about on my helmet? That's the drop usualy starts anyway. Some lack of consentration or unobserved condition. 1990 Aint she a pretty Tomato wedshots albums http://community.webshots.com/user/sawfiler64/albums/most-recent

How about putting them on the bottom of the bike? If you drop it that often, plenty of people will have a chance to see them. :) '06 C10 AMA# 1019197 COG# 8229 CDA# 0267 <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/brett0769/2739088475/" title="Connie 8-08 by Brett0769, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3245/2739088475_f0196924f5_t.jpg" width="100" height="75" alt="Connie 8-08" /></a>

Yeah, you could stick them on down by the chin fairing! Perfect spot to be seen as she lies there like a fat old dead woodchuck on her side...... :eg: ;p

Both great locations. Thanks for the laugh. I like on the helmet though. Alway there to remind me where not to park. :) Hey here is a easy idea. We can take a standard bandaid and write our cda number on it and place in a good location. One for each drop. If you have ten bandaids I know where to park. ---------------------------------- I will answer any question. It is up to you to figure out if I should have.

Brett... Dude... wow, very cool... I'm so amazed at some of the computer skills you all have. And yes, very funny too :)

Very cool! Can you add a part that says "CDA#_____". Then we could write the number in, print it out and attach. Greg H MA COG# 7010/7010a Tracey CDA 120 Connie Droppers Anonymous Awards Dude -CDAAD 99 Connie "Herrin Christabelle" 05 Ninja 250

Greg, check your e-mail. I sent you the original file. I've added a CDA# example badge to my signature. (hope it worked, won't know 'til I post this). I think it'd make a good patch. :) Except that then everyone would know I'm a dumba$$. :) '06 C10 Brett Hatfield AMA# 1019197 COG# 8229 <img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3245/2739088475_f0196924f5_t.jpg"> <img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3023/2769026618_26826b660e_t.jpg"> http://www.flickr.com/photos/brett0769/

Greg, sent you a new file with changes. Noticed that the COG got nudged on my first attempt, so I've added a revised version to my new signature. Brett, I made some minor edits and put the download on my site: http://mysite.verizon.net/habels1/id31.html All - feel free to download, modify with your CDA number and stick on your bike. Also added it to the CDA FAQ. Mine is on my windshield. Thanks again Brett!
