Changing Break Pads Front and Rear

UP

Bicycle
Can any of you good folks give me easy to understand instructions on how to change out the brake pads front and rear on my 09 C-14? It looks to be easy enough but if anyone can goober it up it

Do you have the Kawasaki service manual? If you don't, you should buy it. Pages 12-20 thru 12-21 detail brake pad replacement. It's pretty straightforward, but you do have to make sure you get the pad spring back in place correctly.

It's really pretty simple. Plus you can just look at the other side as reference. You just remove the calipers. Remove the pin that holds the retaining clips. Then just remove and reinstall the new pads in the reverse direction. Make sure you clean up your brake rotors, because you'll want to burn in the new pads when done. Also it's very important to pump up your brakes pressure after you get it all back together BEFORE you try to ride the bike. I know that this is quite a brief description. If you need more detailed instructions, just ask. Good luck. Bob Bionic Bob COG & AMA member First C14 CDA member #0220 2008 C14 & 2003 Mean Streak
