Corbin Seat Install w/ heat

Rubes

Big Wheel
Trying to install my new Corbin heated seat on a 2010 Concours. Corbin says to pull the 5 amp Accessory fuse and install their 7.5 amp fuse in its place. The directions they have printed shows a 10 amp Accessory fuse which was probably on a previous Concours year. Called Corbin and the sales person said it "Shouldn't be an issue", but certainly didn't convince me. Sales said they'd look further for me into this issue. I'm no electrical whiz, so if anyone can help I'd appreciate it. And on top of it the new fuse doesn't sit in the box to enable the box to close. They sent a rain cover that you are supposed to cover the entire fusebox with---pretty lame.

The 10 amp accessory fuse is in the fuse box right behind the tool kit. That's where they expect you to plug it in. I didn't like there set up, so I went another route. I personally just cut that plug off and wired it directly to an auxiliary fuse panel. You could also wire it to the rear accessory leads that are way back near the tail light under the black boot. So there's really 3 options. Bionic Bob COG & AMA member First C14 CDA member #0220 08 C14,03 Mean Streak, & 86 C10
