If it makes you feel better. Mine went over with .2 miles on it. $4,200 damage. I rode it onto the trailer (.2), rolled it off the trailer and put it on it's stand. Started to walk away and the bike rolled forward and went over. I tryed to hold it but it had too much forward motion. Needless to say, I was pissed!

Seriously, loading a heavy bike on a truck with a ramp is not an easy thing to do. As you can see in those vids, even having spotters does not guarantee success. If you go too slow you lose too much speed and woble. Go to fast and you hit the truck.  If you have enough people to help you can push it up with the motor off.  The one guy in the vid who did it alone, he was prepared with some steps to walk up into the truck, but that was a much smaller bike.
 
I love watching those.  I fear for my life and that of the bike every time I do it and I am only about 18" off the ground.  Not like doing it into a U-haul

Adding these to my already lengthy list of why I want to do my own work on my bike!!!  YEEOW!  It hurts to watch  :eek:
 
My MOST RECENT event like this (don't even ask how many) was loading my Connie into the back of a 24' UHaul with only about 8' of space left open at the back.  While I rode up the ramp flawlessly, I found a lack of ground clearance coming off the ramp and destroyed the bellypan and ripped the oil lines loose on the bottom of the turbo and oil pan.  This meant also dumping nearly a full gallon of oil (yes the turbo holds a full gallon) into the back of a truck loaded with all your furniture and stuff.  By the time we got something to catch the deluge, it was pretty much over.  Fortunately we were able to keep most of it at the back by moving the truck to elevate the front.  Then we could clean up the mess we could still reach.  While the bike didnt fall, it was still a bad loading session.  :-[
 
thats why you should use a ramp that has an arc to it. Keeps you from bottoming on the transition from ramp to the back of the vehicle.

Usta ride my Suz TM400 dirt bike up a 8 foot long 8" wide ramp into my c10 pickup in the 70's. Never missed tho a few times had a bit too much speed hitting the end of the bed sudenly.... hard. OOF!
Easy does it.
