Exploring tires

I have a C-10 with 17" rims front and rear...I am currently running a Shinko 160/70H17 777HD on the rear and a Pirelli Angel ST 120/70ZR17 on the front...both are extremely competent tires for the way I ride...

I don't ride the bike like a sport bike...it's more like a touring bike for my wife and I...

I'm happy with the rear tire...but, am looking at a 130/80H17 Shinko 777 for the front, to perhaps get longer tire life...it looks like it will fit...load rating on the current tire is 58...it's 65 on the Shinko 777...so, no problems there...my only concern is...my front rim is an MT3.50...Shinko recommends a MT3.00 for the 777...

Are there concerns I'm not considering with the half an inch wider front rim...?

If the usual front for 17" is 120/70 not sure why a 130/80 should not fit. Strange that they would recommend a narrower rim than the one for the 120.

I am on my second Angel ST on the front, and it is a great tire. Not sure about the life, I think I run it pretty hard so not sure about averages.
