Memorial Day Weekend
May 25, 26, 27, 2013

Come and enjoy beautiful Marietta, Ohio and the riding in south east Ohio.

Our hotel, the Lafayette is located in-town Marietta, providing us with a great base to not only ride from but also to enjoy downtown.
Shopping, eating & nightlife are all within walking distance!

I have 10 rooms reserved with rates from $63.00 to $78.00 a night.
Rooms are held under Jason Kaplitz.

I gotta run this past Dona, but sounds good to me....The LaFayette is an historic and fun place.... you'll love the "all you can eat shrimp bowl" friday in the lounge... good other fun stuff there also, i'll hook you up with some sights...and bars.....even though i cannot partake in the bevereges whilst riding....but you can get anywhere in town bar to bar for $3 by cab.... :beerchug: :beerchug: :great:

You hear anything from "That dude looked Hot-...Scott" ? he's dropped from sight for a couple years now...he lives up on the hill by the college..

no communication from Scott or Bill.........is it Bill? No I don't think so.

We'll have to see if we can scare him up.

Looks like a great little town. Do you have a route planned and time for each day?

No, gonna wing it. They have several routes on their website that were taken from a RoadRunner magazine article a couple years back.

bummer...I had to cancel, something came up last minute....
I cancelled my room, so I know there is a single @ $63 open Friday thru Monday right now....
book those (that) room(s)
:rotflmao: :rotflmao:

See Yun'z on the next go round.... :motonoises:

I had a farm down there in Noble County for many years;
Road and Track rated Rt 26 in the top 10
pick it up just east of town, it is actually the road the LaFayette faces, (green /Newport pike thru town) go unde :motonoises:r rt 77, 2 miles it begins.
Run it up to Graysville, then go west on 537, 565, 564, 2 to Dexter City...
339 back down thru Waterford..

you could litterally spend the day in a 30 mile diameter area centered on 537/260/535 cutting back and forth on the backroads, and have a blast there... :motonoises: It's all Wayne National forrest

ride safe :great:

I'm still around.  Been busy with mom's health issues and family issues in Toledo, probably been up there a dozen times over the past 2 months.  I've been on the bike once this season, a 50 mile ride around the reservoir by my house.  Scott's still around. We stopped by Dog Days last summer.  I cant make it to Marietta this weekend, moving daughter home from college Friday, and heading to Toledo on Sunday.

Boy, haven't seen you two guys in forever --- but the Trans Allegheny Lunatic Asylum seems like the perfect place to get together!

Nice to hear you are still around Bill. I miss all the Ohio get togethers. Family comes first, hope to see you at a function soon.

ConcoursKZ,.

I think I owe you an apology.

I didn't see your post asking about ride times Sunday and you didn't know that I don't have a Concours!

I think I saw you at the Lafayette Sunday morning when we where getting ready to ride, I was with a bunch on Triumph's and BMW's............

My buddy said hey, who's on the C14 and I never put 2 & 2 together! Duh! Dumb ass!

We had a great day riding, went to Hillbilly Hot Dog and the Mothman museum on some great roads that one our group put toegher.
I'm really sorry I didn't jump up and down and get your attention!

We're going back next year so we can ride togother then.
Tks,
Jason

Sorry I missed you all. But I had a great ride. Marietta is a nice little town. I will definitely go back. I met some others in the Hocking Hills area and had a great ride back to Columbus.  Ate breakfast at the Lafayette Hotel. Cool old place. A perfect day for riding. 374 miles total.

Side note:
The roads in Hocking Hills look to be all repaved. Tons of bikes were out. Cops could be found as well.

Bill and Scott hosted a Memoral Day rally in Marietta several years back..............
I was there and had a lot of fun.

Marietta is a great location to hold a rally! Lots of great riding, both in Ohio and across the river into WV.

We had a blast!
Visited the Mothman Museum in Point Pleasant, Hill Billy Hot Dogs in Lesage Wv and had several great meals within walking distance of the motel. I could spend 3 or 4 days in this neck of the woods any time!

I'll be going back for sure!
