i bit the bullet and bought me a 09 concours14 in march of this year...all riding has been in cooler weather so heat on the legs has not been a problem. i took the bike on 400 mile trip saturday to sw oklahoma...the heat was up on the legs and the cowling,,,, temps were in the mid 70s in am and mid 90s at noon on return trip...had a head wind going south and tail wind coming home, heat was more noticed with head wind. has anyone come across a fix for getting this heat away from the riders legs and feet? i have checked recalls and net for information but no help. thanks stephen in cleveland. looking for a fix prior to rally in july....

live in texas know yr pain about the heat same with my 09 have posted about pipe wrap material no comments on it,they say on autos such as racing cars and high performance car the exhaust wrap material makes the heat go out the pipe and reduces under cowl temps dont know if it will work with bikes and dont know of any bad side effects, just installed an area p slip on muffler and that did reduce the temp on my legs mostly on the left side, thought is less back pressure thru muffler less heat off the pipes onto me let me know if you come up with any good ideas pjw

There has been a lot of discussion here http://forum.concours.org/index.php?board=13.0 and several people have formulated fixes. Use the search function for heat or heat shield.

I use heat blockers that Zteve makes on the other forum. I really didn't have a heat problem. But I tried them anyway and they do work well. Bionic Bob COG & AMA member First C14 CDA member #0220 08 C14,03 Mean Streak, & 86 C10
