Side case gasket?

Hey all,
Anyone have a solution for replacement sidecase lid gaskets? Opened my left case after a storm and found a pool of water in there. Looks like the lid isn't sealing anymore.
Cheers

Check and make sure the latches are closing the case fully, BTDT. Easy fix just bend the latching mechanism which is visible when you unlatch the lock.

"Check and make sure the latches are closing the case fully..........." and that they haven't worked loose.

The left case gets much more work than the right one and there is a visible difference in the condition of the gasket between the two. But I will check the latch. And would still like to replace the 23 year old rubber gasket.

Perhaps someone can post the info on the gasket. Its available online as O-ring material, available by the foot, and is cheap.

But first, try what Bob and Guy have suggested. HTH

It may help to 'tighten' the latches by slightly compressing the hooks they latch to on the outside half of the clamshells.

Just bend a little at a time until the latches close with a tight fit.

The scrap wood is to prevent marring and gouging.
