It will be. Once I get the lodging nailed we'll post it up :great:Nottacop said:Will this be an official COG event? If so could you post a link to the calendar? I looked on the calendar and didn't see anything.
That's good, i can use the track time. I did a quick search and didn't see any sanctioned strips listed for the area, will it be an outlaw style event? All bs aside, I'm really excited to see this area, hopeful we'll get enough precipitation to make it scenic.Cali Cruiser said:Rumor has it there will be a drag racing school held for some feller from up North![]()
Cali Cruiser said:Question: is anyone into the idea of me bringing truck and trailer to allow for a smoked pork dinner of some sort again? I’d need to plan for that so simply let me know your level of interest, thanks.

Your a good man. Curve ball. Beef ribs. nummers.Cali Cruiser said:So...... what pork are we thinkin?
Here ya go folks. ALA Borrego Springs M&E&G start posting your sides to help out. Me thinks a nice pickled cucumber salad from me. May be a full gazpacho cold soup.Cali Cruiser said:Consider it done- added to the pork game. Maybe pork spare ribs and beef ribs, some sort of massive baked taters and of course cole slaw (slightly spicy)
Ink it. We're in good shape. I'll ask to get posted on the calendar this weekend. Lots of places to stay for fallback but 99% confidence in what we have now.Nottacop said:Anyone have a link to this event? I can’t find it in the calendar. Also, how are negotiations going with lodging? I’m getting a little nervous.![]()

Daboo said:I think I need some advice. Any recommendations on a route for getting there at that time of year.
Taking I-80 over from the coast, means crossing Donner Pass. Google Maps shows a ski area there. Oops!
Any suggestions suitable for two wheels?

Hi Chris I am with Troy on getting there anyway you can....But looking at the map it looks like the best way if you cannot get across on the 80 in early April, might be going south to Bakersfield and then cross over to get to the Shoshone area. Probably the warmest way. Others will chime in but there is no easy way to get there from the North that time of year. Though you could get lucky and cross over and work your way south through Nevada. Looks like you could take the 5 to the 20 and then south on the 395...but the elevation might make things rough too. Let's see what others think? Hope you can make it!
